The International Safe Deposit Centre Association
TISDCA brings together the world of safe deposit custody under one benchmark of excellence, accrediting centres that meet the most demanding physical and operational requirements in the industry.
International Security Standards
Accreditation is granted only to centres that satisfy every element of the TISDCA security baseline, confirmed through independent inspection.
Every accredited facility operates a strongroom certified to EN 1143-1 Grade 6 as an absolute minimum, supplied by a recognised manufacturer and verified by an independent inspector.
Customers pass layered identification that pairs biometric confirmation with individual credentials before any safe deposit box can be accessed.
Strongrooms carry seismic detectors, vibration analysis and thermal monitoring, connected around the clock to an approved alarm receiving centre.
Interlocking airlock portals with mantrap supervision govern every movement into the vault area, admitting only one verified person at a time.
Accreditation Criteria
Our assessors examine the facility, the people and the procedures behind every application. Only centres that demonstrate genuine excellence receive the right to display the TISDCA mark.
Accredited centres appear in the public TISDCA register and undergo a full reinspection every year to retain their status.
Member Benefits
Joining TISDCA gives your centre far more than recognition. It provides practical advantages that strengthen your operation every day.
Carry the TISDCA emblem, the recognised international signal that assures customers, underwriters and authorities of your standards.
Members can offer box contents cover through the association facility, arranged with specialist underwriters at collective rates.
Connect with operators across continents, exchanging intelligence on emerging threats, regulation and operational good practice.
Practical templates, briefings and expert support for financial crime compliance, data protection and local licensing duties.
Structured staff development programmes, an annual international conference and regional working groups.
TISDCA speaks for members before governments, regulators and standards bodies wherever the industry is shaped.
Code of Conduct
Each member signs up to the TISDCA Code of Conduct. Alleged breaches are formally investigated and can result in suspension or removal.
Act with honesty, integrity and professionalism in every business dealing.
Safeguard the confidentiality and privacy of each customer at all times.
Keep security systems and working procedures at or above association standards.
Maintain thorough customer due diligence and financial crime safeguards.
Offer fair and transparent pricing, contracts and rental terms.
Cooperate fully with lawful requests from regulators and law enforcement.
Notify the association of security incidents promptly and candidly.
Never act in a way that damages the standing of the association or the industry.
Working alongside leading specialist underwriters, the association has arranged a group facility that lets accredited members offer contents cover on safe deposit boxes, a level of protection few centres could secure on their own.
Insurance Facility Partnership
Many safe deposit customers have no cover for what they store. The TISDCA facility allows your centre to offer credible and affordable insurance, deepening trust and creating an additional stream of revenue.
